Von Welt is a German rock band from the Black Forest .

Band history

Von Welt was founded in 2015 by the musicians Nicholas Kuri ( vocals , guitar ), Steffen Engler (guitar), Nicolai Hoch ( bass ) and Patrick Moser ( drums ). Her first single Raus was released in 2016 , followed by the 2017 EP Billion City , which she published on her own label Modern Post. The EP was recorded in the studio of Franz Plasa , who has also worked with bands such as Selig , Keimzeit , Echt and Rio Reiser .

The band also became known through the Silent Concerts initiative, where they gave concerts in various pedestrian zones in European cities via headphones.

The debut album Schwarz was released in 2020 . While the official release date was July 24th, 2020, the band released the album over a month-long period by releasing songs in portions. Larissa Kerner is a guest singer on the track Von Welt . The band is financially supported by the Initiative Musik . With the album they reached number 35 in the German charts.
