Vorderfirmiansreut , the popular place name Vorderdorf is a district of the municipality of Philippsreut in the Lower Bavarian district of Freyung-Grafenau .

The Waldhufendorf Vorderfirmiansreut is located in the Bavarian Forest about one kilometer northwest of Philippsreut at an altitude of 940 meters on the state road 2130.
history
The urging of those who were not entitled to inheritance coincided with the aim of Prince-Bishop Leopold Ernst Graf von Firmian to delimit the territory of the Passau Monastery with other settlements from Bohemia . So in 1764 he had the three Firmiansreut villages of Vorderfirmiansreut, Mitterfirmiansreut and Hinterfirmiansreut built. In Vorderfirmiansreut, six settlers were given an area of 338 days' work .
After the dissolution of the bishopric in the course of secularization in Bavaria , Unterfirmiansreith, unlike Mitter- and Hinterfirmiansreut, did not first come to the Annathal community in 1818 , but to the Kleinphilippsreut community, which was renamed Philippsreut on July 15, 1936 by decree of the Bavarian governor . In 1987 Vorderfirmiansreut had 125 residents.
