Vorderfischen is a part of the municipality of Pähl in the Upper Bavarian district of Weilheim-Schongau .

geography

The village of Vorderfischen is located about three kilometers north of Pähl on the valley floor of a moraine range on the Ammermoos.

history

Fischen was first mentioned in a document in 776.

Vorderfischen initially belonged to the Benediktbeuern monastery , which sold it to the Lords of Seefeld in 1148. They in turn sold it to the Augsburg patrician Georg zu Delling in 1380. Finally, Vorderfischen fell to Andechs Monastery in 1599 , where it remained until the secularization of 1803.

In 1836 there was a cholera outbreak .

Vorderfischen belonged to the municipality of Fischen am Ammersee , which was incorporated into Pähl on May 1, 1978.

Attractions

The Maria Hilf village chapel from 1885 is located in Vorderfischen.
