Vulcaniella glaseri is a butterfly ( moth ) from the family of cosmopterigidae (Cosmopterigidae).

features

The moths reach a wingspan of 10 millimeters. The head, thorax and tegulae shine white. The forewings have a dark golden brown sheen. There is a shiny white spot on the base of the wing. The white spots on the Costa loader are large and do not have raised, metallic, shiny scales . The spots on the inner edge of the wing and on the apex are silvery and raised. The hind wings shine light gray. In some specimens from Turkey , the front wings are colored golden brown. However, no differences could be found in the male's external characteristics and genital fittings.

In the males, the right brachium tapers very sharply distally . It is curved outward and the apex is wide and rounded. The left brachium tapers slightly distally and is slightly curved in front of the rounded apex. The valves gradually taper distally, but they are thickened in front of the apex. The right valvella is shorter than the distal part of the aedeagus and slightly curved upwards. A large, rounded lobe is formed ventrally . The left valvella is short and extends outward. The distal part of the aedeagus gradually tapers and is curved.

In females, the sterigma is trough-shaped. The posterior sclerotization of the 7th segment is square, the posterior end is concave . The ductus bursae is slightly shorter than the corpus bursae . The corpus bursae is wrinkled, the two signs are large.

Vulcaniella glaseri is native to Asia Minor .

biology

The biology of the species is unknown. Butterflies were collected in June and August.
