Vully

Vully ( French , German Wistenlach ) originally refers to a range of hills between Lake Murten and Lake Neuchâtel in Switzerland . Municipalities in the canton of Friborg , which are located on the southern slope of the Vully, as well as a municipality in the canton of Vaud and the new district Broye-Vully have Vully in their name and thus refer to the mountain:

  • Mont Vully - mountain / range of hills between Lake Murten and Lake Neuchâtel
  • Mont-Vully - In 2016 the municipality of the former Bas-Vully and Haut-Vully municipalities merged
  • Bas-Vully - former municipality that merged in 1850 from the formerly independent districts Sugiez, Nant and Praz (Vully)
  • Haut-Vully - former municipality consisting of the districts of Môtier, Lugnorre, Joressens, Mur (Vully) and Guévaux
  • Vully-le-Haut - until 1977 the official name of the municipality of Haut-Vully
  • Vully-les-Lacs - In 2011 the municipality merged from the former municipalities of Bellerive (VD), Chabrey, Constantine, Montmagny, Mur (VD), Vallamand and Villars-le-Grand
  • Broye-Vully district - Vaudois district, created in 2006 from the merger of the former districts of Moudon, Avenches and Payerne
