Vydas Baravykas

Vydas Baravykas (born January 12, 1950 in Liudvinavas , Marijampolė municipality ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

After graduating from secondary school in 1967, he served in the Soviet Army from 1968 to 1970, and from 1971 to 1977 he studied agronomy at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija . From 1977 to 1989 he was head of the Atžalyno kolkhoz , from 1995 to 1996 head of the Alytus district , 2000 mayor of the Alytus district municipality , from 2000 to 2004 member of the Seimas .

From 1990 he was a member of the Lietuvos democinė darbo partija and since 2001 he has been a member of the Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija .
