Vytautas Bernatonis
Vytautas Bernatonis (born November 19, 1940 in Šiliniai , Jieznas District, Prienai District , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian engineer and politician, professor of the KTU.
Life
In 1954 he graduated from the Kašonys school and in 1958 A-levels and vocational training at the Kauno politechnikumas and then worked at "Taksomotorų autoūkis" as a carpentry master in Vilnius. In 1970 he completed his studies at the Vilniaus inžinerinis statybos institutas and received his doctorate in 1981 and his habilitation in 1988.
From 1962 to 1988 he worked at Vilniaus plastmasinių dirbinių gamykla . From 1988 to 1990 taught at the Kauno politechnikos institutas (from 1990: KTU) and was professor from 1989.
From 1990 to 1991 he was the mayor of Vilnius .
