Vytautas Nekrošius
Vytautas Nekrošius (born June 10, 1970 in the Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian civil procedure lawyer , professor and former dean of the Faculty of Law at Vilnius University . He is the son of Ipolitas Nekrošius (* 1936).
Life
From 1988 to 1993 Vytautas Nekrošius completed his degree in law at the University of Vilnius, and in 1994 he obtained a Master of Laws at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt / Main. He received his doctorate in civil procedural law in 1996 and worked as a research assistant, lecturing at Vilnius University as a lecturer and then as a lecturer. In 2003 he was elected dean. Nekrošius was a visiting professor (as part of the DAAD guest professorship) at the University of Kiel and was a visiting researcher at the universities of Heidelberg , Münster , Hamburg and Frankfurt. He completed his habilitation at the University of Łódź on December 12, 2003. Since 2005, Vytautas Nekrošius has been Professor at the University of Vilnius. He has headed the Lithuanian Lawyers Association since 2016 .
Vytautas Nekrošius is one of the founders of the Center for German Law in Vilnius.
Nekrošius is a member of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and was vice-chairman of the Lithuanian Lawyers Association .
