Vytautas Zigmas Vaitonis
Vytautas Zigmas Vaitonis (born September 10, 1942 in Raseiniai ) is a Lithuanian chess player.
Life
After graduating from secondary school, Vaitonis graduated in 1965 from the Faculty of Construction Economics at the Institute for Engineers of Municipal Construction in Kharkiv ( Ukraine ). Afterwards he worked as the head of the planning department in the construction site in Klaipėda and later as a teacher in the school. He has been playing chess since 1976 . He was twice Lithuanian individual champion in correspondence chess . Since 2014 he has held the title of International Correspondence Chess Master. In December 2015, his rating was 1944, his highest rating was 2117 in April and July 2007.
