The Wörlitzer See is a lake in Saxony-Anhalt ( Germany ).
The Wörlitzer See, which is located immediately north of the city of Wörlitz ( Wittenberg district ), is only a few meters deep on average and is 59 m above sea level. NN . The lake is drained via the Elbe in a northerly direction into the North Sea.
The lake is an oxbow lake of the Elbe. It has a major impact on the Wörlitz Park , which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000 .
The lake is located in the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve .
