The Wörsbachtalbrücke is a 528 m long railway bridge on the high-speed line Cologne – Rhine / Main ( route kilometers 115). The high-speed route crosses the Wörsbach in the Hessian community of Brechen and therefore bears its name.

It is the third longest bridge on the line and the longest bridge in section B in the middle section of the new line.

The route runs in a southerly direction in a right curve.

In addition to the Wörsbach, the 3277 state road is also crossed.

history

planning

At the end of 1995, the planned length of the structure was 526 m. At the end of 1997, 528 m were planned. In September 1998 a length of 534 m was planned at times. In mid-1999, the structure was again planned to be 528 m. This corresponds to the realized length.

construction

The structure was the first bridge in section B.

The structure was built with a propeller armor and completed on August 11, 1999.
