WY Boyd Literary Award for Excellence in Military Fiction
The WY Boyd Literary Award for Excellence in Military Fiction has been awarded annually since 1997 by the American Library Association (ALA) as part of the ALA Awards Program and is endowed with $ 5,000, including a quote framed in 24- carat gold, for authors of fictional literature with reference to American war history . It is donated by William Young Boyd II ; the winners are selected by a jury. Jeff Shaara has received two awards , Ralph Peters three times.
