WAMC - Northeast Public Radio is an American radio broadcaster and the oldest Northeast Public Radio station . WAMC broadcasts on medium wave 1400 kHz from Albany , New York, around the clock. The station broadcasts the main program of Northeast Public Radio, a political and social news focused program, broadcasting local productions and acquisitions by NPR, PRI and APM.

The station receives financial support from regular donor listeners, commercial enterprises, and public funds such as grants from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the New York State Education Department .

Northeast Public Radio is a member of National Public Radio and an affiliate of Public Radio International .

The most important programs of the NPR, the Morning Edition , All Things Considered and Fresh Air are shown on WAMC. Own programs are The Roundtable , a news magazine and various music programs . The BBC World Service is broadcast at night .

The program will be produced at WAMC Studios at 318 Central Avenue in Albany.
