WASP-6 is a star with an apparent visual magnitude of around 12 mag in the constellation Aquarius . It is orbited by a transit planet.
Planetary companion
WASP-6 b is an exoplanet with a mass of approx. 0.5 Jupiter and an orbital period of 3.36 days . The companion was discovered using the transit method by analyzing observation data obtained between May 7th and November 12th 2006 and between July 5th and November 13th 2007 as part of the SuperWASP program Transits templates. The radius of the companion is 1.2 Jupiter radii. The major semi-axis of the orbit measures 0.04 astronomical units , its eccentricity is 0.05, the inclination is 88 °.
