WLRN

WLRN is a public radio station for southern Florida and is based in Miami . The station is owned by the Miami-Dade County Public Schools and is a member of National Public Radio (NPR). WRLN broadcasts on FM 91.3 MHz.

Programs like the Morning Edition , All Things Considered, and the Weekend Edition will be taken over from Washington, DC. WLRN is also an affiliate of Public Radio International and broadcasts The Takeaway and The World , and the BBC World Service is taken over at night .

history

WLRN began broadcasting in 1948 as a non-commercial station for the School Board of Dade County. WLRN-TV started in 1955. According to its own information, WRLN's services reach over one million people in South Florida each week. Programs are seen and heard from Palm Beach to Key West.
