The Wabakimi Lake is a lake in Thunder Bay District in the Canadian province of Ontario .
The lake is located in the heart of Wabakimi Provincial Park in the Canadian Shield area at an altitude of 353 m . It has a longitudinal extension in east-west direction of 26 km and a maximum width of 4 km. The main tributaries are the Flindt River at the western end of the lake and the Allan Water , which flows into Wabakimi Lake on the southern shore of the lake. The main outflow is the Ogoki River , which has its origin here. It leaves the lake in the northeast at the end of River Bay . To the east is the neighboring Lower Wabakimi Lake , over which a small part of the water flows from Wabakimi Lake to Smoothrock Lake .
The Wabakimi Lake is considered good fishing water. The following fish species are found in the lake: eyeglasses , pike and American char . Due to the lack of road links, the lake is usually reached by seaplane.
