Wadi Degla Sporting Club (Standard Arabic:نادي وادي دجلة الرياضي, DMG Nādī Wādī Diǧla ar-Riyāḍī ; Egyptian Arabic: نادى وادى دجله), also Wadi Degla for short , is an Egyptian football club based in Cairo. In 2009/10 he was promoted to the Egyptian Premier League for the first time in his history .
history
Wadi Degla made history in Egypt's second division in 2009/10. The team defeated El-Sekka El-Hadid 3-1 on the final day of the season to advance to the top football league in Egypt, the Egyptian Premier League, for the first time in their history. In 2014, the club entered the CAF Confederation Cup and failed in the second round to Djoliba AC from Mali.
Cooperations
Wadi Degla has a large youth football academy. The club has a close relationship with England's Arsenal FC and its youth academy. Other clubs with which we cooperate are SK Lierse in Belgium and Ergotelis from Greece.
