Wagener Stadium
The Wagener Stadium is a sports stadium in Amstelveen ( Netherlands ) used for various disciplines . It is currently used for hockey games. In 1973 games were played there at the World Hockey Championship . The stadium has a capacity of 9,000 seats.
The complex has belonged to the Dutch Hockey Federation (" Koninklijke Nederlandse Hockey Bond ") since 1980 . It was built by the “ Amsterdamsche Hockey & Bandy Club ” (AHBC) in honor of Joop Wagener (1881–1945). Construction was completed a year before World War II hit the Netherlands (1939).
During the 1970s it became known that AHBC could no longer afford the stadium and it was sold to the Dutch Hockey Federation. AHBC still has the privilege to play in the stadium.

- Men's Hockey World Championship 1973
- European Hockey Championship : 1983, 2009, 2017
- Champions Trophy : 1982, 1987, 2003 and 2006
- European Lacrosse Championship : 2012
