Elections for the collective state presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1996

The elections for the collective state presidency of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina on September 14, 1996 were the first elections for this body after the conclusion of the Dayton Agreement in late 1995, which ended the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina that had been waged since 1992 . The elections were held separately within the constituent peoples , i.e. the Bosniaks , Serbs and Croats , who each sent a representative to the state presidency.

Were elected Alija Izetbegovic , Kresimir Zubak and Momcilo Krajišnik . The first chairman of the presidium was Alija Izetbegović.
