The Waldron Spurs are a group of rock spurs found on the Dufek coast of the Antarctic Ross Dependency . They are located in the lower foothills of the Queen Maud Mountains on the east side of the mouth of the Shackleton Glacier in the Ross Ice Shelf .
Participants of the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) discovered this formation. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1962 after Lieutenant Commander James Edgar Waldron Jr. (* 1925) of the United States Navy Reserve Forces , pilot of the VX-6 squadron between 1957 and 1958.
