NN , measures 250 m at its widest point and is 450 m long. It is owned by the von Schilcher family; Mathias von Schilcher, a leading forester in the state administration at the time, bought Dietramszeller Sonnenhof together with the surrounding forests, parts of the secularized monastery buildings and the associated homesteads in 1804 after the secularization of Bavaria . Since the pond is not yet shown on the oldest measuring table sheets from the years 1817 to 1841 (scale 1: 25,000), it was created after this date.
