Valentin Bratoev ( Bulgarian Валентин Братоев , English transcription: Valentin Bratoev * 21st October 1987 in Sofia ) is a Bulgarian volleyball player .

Career

Bratoew started his career in 2002 with Slavia Sofia . In 2007 he moved to Levski Sofia within the capital . With Levski he won the national championship in 2009. In the same year, the universal player reached third place with the Bulgarian national team at the European Championship . He then went to Italy for the second division Quasar Massa Versilia . In 2010 he was signed by the first division club Itas Diatec Trentino , with whom he won the Italian championship and the Champions League in 2011 . In the following season he was initially under contract with Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia , but in November he moved to the second division Pallavolo Sora , in 2012 he reached fourth place at the Olympic Games with his twin brother Georgi Bratoew . After an interlude with al-Rayyan SC and a season in his home country with Levski Sofia , Bratoew played for the German Bundesliga club VfB Friedrichshafen in the 2013/14 season and won the DVV Cup here .
