Valery Pavlovich Gopin

Valery Pavlovich Gopin ( Russian Валерий Павлович Гопин ; born May 8, 1964 in Selzo , Bryansk Oblast ) is a former Russian handball player and was most recently the coach of Eintracht Hildesheim .

Player career

Gopin played in the left winger position in Spain until 1996 before moving to Germany . In Germany he played for SG Leutershausen , VfL Gummersbach , SG Hameln and SG Kronau / Östringen . Then he moved to the Italian league in Merano .

Coaching career

After returning to Russia from Italy, Gopin trained Poljot Chelyabinsk since 2003 . In addition, since 2005 he has been the assistant coach of the Russian national team. From July 1, 2006 to October 23, 2006, Gopin was the coach of Eintracht Hildesheim's first men's team. For the remainder of the 2006/2007 season, he trained the second men of Eintracht, which plays in the second district class in the handball district Weser / Schaumburg Ost.
