Valery Jemeljanow ( Russian Валерий Емельянов ) is a former Soviet ski jumper .
Career
Jemeljanow made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament in 1966/67 . He surprisingly jumped seventh on the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf . At the New Year's competition on the Great Olympic Hill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , he achieved sixth place and thus the best individual result of his career. After a 12th place on the Bergiselschanze in Innsbruck and 31st place on the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze in Bischofshofen , Jemeljanow finished the tour in 12th place in the overall ranking.
