Career

Athletic career

Wdowenko only had five appearances in his active ski jumping career, but these were all at international level at Nordic World Ski Championships . Wdowenko made his debut at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1989 . After he had reached the 41st place in the individual competition on the large hill and 47th place on the small hill, he surprisingly came fourth in the team competition with Pavel Kustov , Mikhail Essine and Andrei Werweikin .

Four years later, Wdowenko again took part in the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1993 in Falun . Here, however, he did not get beyond a disappointing 61st place on the normal hill and 62nd place on the small hill.

After retiring from active ski jumping after the 1993 World Cup, Wdowenko already held various coaching positions. He has been the head coach of the Ukrainian national ski jumping team for several years .

Political commitment

Vdovenko is also politically active in Ukraine as President of the Ludowy Parliament party, which was founded in 2011 .
