The Walker Pass is a mountain pass at Lake Isabella in the southern Sierra Nevada . It is located in northeastern Kern County between Bakersfield to the west and Ridgecrest to the east. The pass runs along Highway 178 in the southern part of the Sierra Nevada, the highest point is at 1,600 meters. The pass is mostly closed in winter.
