Alexander Ranacher (born November 20, 1998 in Lienz ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Ranacher started his career at TSU Matrei . In 2014 he came to the academy of Wolfsberger AC . In October 2015 he made his debut for the amateurs of the WAC in the Regionalliga when he was in the starting line-up against Deutschlandsberger SC on matchday 15 of the 2015/16 season and was replaced by Thomas Riepler in the 81st minute. At the end of the season he was relegated with the second team from the regional league; one year later, however, one could get promoted back to the regional league.

In August 2017 he was against FC Admira Wacker Mödling in the professional squad for the first time. He finally made his Bundesliga debut in October 2017 when he came on as a substitute for Gerald Nutz in the 38th minute on matchday 13 of the 2017/18 season against SK Sturm Graz .

For the 2018/19 season he moved to the second division club SC Austria Lustenau , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2020.
