Daniel Steinwender (born May 11, 1998 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Steinwender started his career at SG Gitschtal . In 2004 he moved to SV Lebring . In 2010 he joined SV Wildon . In 2011 he came to the academy of SK Sturm Graz .

In June 2016 he was against the ATSV Stadl-Paura for the first time in the squad of amateurs in Graz. In January 2017 it was awarded to the fourth class SV Wildon. He made his debut in the national league in March 2017 when he was in the starting line-up against USV Mettersdorf on matchday 16 of the 2016/17 season and was replaced by Flamur Muleci in the 75th minute. His first goal for Wildon was in a 3-0 win against USV Gnas that same month .

After returning to Sturm II, he finally played his first game in the regional league in August 2017 when he came on as a substitute for Oliver Bacher on the third matchday of the 2017/18 season against SC Kalsdorf in the 81st minute. Steinwender scored his first two goals in the Regionalliga in the same month in a 5-1 win against the amateurs of Wolfsberger AC .

For the 2018/19 season he moved to the second division SK Austria Klagenfurt. He made his debut in the second division in July 2018 when he was in the starting line-up against SC Austria Lustenau on the first day of that season and Florian Jaritz in the 62nd minute was replaced. After 32 appearances in the second division for Klagenfurt, he moved to league competitor SC Austria Lustenau in January 2020, with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2021.
