List of motorable passes of the Sierra Nevada

This list of motorable passes in the Sierra Nevada in the US state of California contains all paved pass roads that cross the main ridge of the mountain range.

In the course of the approximately 650 km long mountain range, only 12 pass roads cross it, most of which are located in the north of the area. The mountain range between Tioga Pass and the little-used Sherman Pass is impassable for vehicles over a distance of more than 300 kilometers. The scheduled closings of Highways 4, 108 and 120 and unplanned closures of Highways 88 and 89 due to the weather considerably limit the number of crossings in winter.
