The Wallaby Plateau is an oceanic plateau in the eastern part of the Indian Ocean .

Within the Eastern Indies, the Wallaby Plateau is located northwest of the Australian city ​​of Perth and 450 kilometers west of Carnarvon .

The Wallaby Plateau is located on the southeast edge of the Wharton Basin, southeast of the Zenith Plateau .

The plateau lies at a depth between 2200 meters and more than 5000 meters. It covers an area of ​​around 100,000 square kilometers which, according to the Convention on the Law of the Sea, mainly belong to the extended continental shelf of Australia. Two significant elevations in this area have been measured, a larger one in the southeast and a smaller one called the Quokka Rise in the northwest. Two volcanic mountain ridges, Sonja Ridge and Sonne Ridge , cross the plateau as far as the Cuvier Abyssal Plain to the north . To the south of the Wallaby Plateau is the Perth Abyssal Plain , to the east is the bathymetric depth Wallaby Saddle off the west coast of Australia.
