The Waller peak is approximately 700 m high mountain on South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It rises 2.75 km northeast of Paulsen Peak and is one of two isolated peaks on the western flank of the Lyell Glacier .
The mountain served the 1st Battalion of the Royal Irish Regiment as a training ground. Ten members of this regiment of the British Army managed to climb on May 18, 1993. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1994 after Stephen Archibald Waller (1969-1992), who died as a regimental member in 1992 while serving in Northern Ireland .
