The Paulsen Peak is a 1,875 m high and rocky mountain in Georgia . In the Allardyce Range, it rises 3 km northwest of Mount Sugartop near the head of the Lyell Glacier .
The South Georgia Survey surveyed the mountain between 1951 and 1952 . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1955 after Harald B. Paulsen (1898-1951), a key figure in the Norwegian whaling industry.
