St. Maria in Rudlfing

The pilgrimage church of St. Maria is the Roman Catholic village church in the Marzlinger district of Rudlfing in Upper Bavaria . The current building was built between 1752 and 1755 on the northern edge of the village on the road to Marzling. The baroque church replaced a previous building in the same place. For a long time the church was the destination of pilgrimages to the Virgin Mary .

Interior

The high altar of the church is adorned with a painted, approximately 100 centimeter high Madonna figure from the end of the 15th century. It shows Maria in a sitting position. In her left hand she holds the scepter, in her right the baby Jesus .

The left side altar shows the painting The Whitsun Festival by the Munich painter H. Greiter (1756).
