Walo Linder

Walo Linder (born October 6, 1905 in Bolligen ; † January 20, 1979 in Walenstadt ; actually Walter Linder ) was a Swiss musician and orchestra conductor.

Linder initially trained as a teacher, but then devoted himself to his career as a musician. Together with Teddy Stauffer he founded the "Original Teddies". In 1947 he took over the management of the entertainment department at the Zurich radio studio and expanded the station into a popular wave by 1970.

In recognition of his services, the Prix ​​Walo, an annual show award, was named after him in 1980 and launched in 1974 under the name of Golden Tell .
