The Walter Glacier is a glacier in the northeast of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . It flows in an east-northeast direction and flows into the southern flank of the Moran Glacier , just before it reaches the Schokalski Bay .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Commander Howard J. Walter (* 1931) of the United States Navy , pilot of a Lockheed C-130 with the VXE-6 flight squadron during Deep Freeze operations in 1970 and 1971.
