Walter Badorek (born February 12, 1906 in Gelsenkirchen , † August 27, 1971 ) was a German football player .
The defender was active at Union Gelsenkirchen until 1928 before moving to FC Schalke 04 . In 1930 he was one of the 14 players who were banned from championship operations by the West German Gaming Association because they received higher amounts of money from the club than allowed by the amateur regulations. After nine months he was pardoned like the other 13 active members. Until 1937 Badorek still played for Schalke, for whom he was used in nine championship and three Gauliga games. During this time, the Gelsenkirchen team won three German championships and one cup. Later he let his career end with his home club Union.
