Walter Galla

Walter Galla (born September 30, 1957 in Tulln ; † April 3, 2020 in Purkersdorf ) was an Austrian musician , cabaret artist and author .

Life

From 1986 until the end of the program in 2009, Galla was a permanent member of the satirical Sunday matinee Der Guglhupf . Galla wrote weekly satirical songs on current political and social issues. In 1993 he published the CD A scheena Tag , among others with Wolfgang Staribacher and Leo Bei . In 2001 Galla published the novel Jackpot .

Galla founded the Purkersdorf theater group in 1990 and was its artistic director and director in the first few years.
