Walter Grevener

Walter Grevener (born December 30, 1930 in Letmathe ) is a German politician and former member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament of the SPD .

Life and work

After attending elementary school , he completed an apprenticeship in municipal administration and worked in various functions from 1948 to 1965. From 1966 to 1975 he was city ​​director in Langenberg . As such, he was the driving force behind a redevelopment plan that would have largely sacrificed the historic center of Langenberg for demolition. From 1975 to 1986 Grevener was a lecturer at the Study Institute for Local Administration and at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration .

He joined the SPD in 1950. He is active in numerous bodies of the party. Grevener is a member of the public services, transport and traffic union .

MP

From May 30, 1985 to June 1, 2000 Grevener was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected directly in constituency 043 Mettmann IV.

He was a member of the city council of Velbert from 1979.
