Walter Kelsch (born September 3, 1955 in Stuttgart ) is a former German soccer player .

education

Walter Kelsch was trained as a typesetter and then studied graphic design from 1972 to 1976 .

Career

The striker began his career at TSV Jahn Büsnau . He achieved his breakthrough with the Stuttgarter Kickers ; at VfB Stuttgart he was a national player (four international matches, three goals). In total, Kelsch played 246 Bundesliga games and scored 54 goals. In France, he played 78 games for Racing Strasbourg and scored 20 goals.

From March 6, 2007 to June 30, 2008, Kelsch was a member of the executive board of the Stuttgarter Kickers and was responsible for the licensed players, amateur and youth departments.

Criminal proceedings

On April 14, 2016, Kelsch was arrested after a raid on his former wife's apartment in Stuttgart- Degerloch . He is charged with drug trafficking and multiple asset fraud cases. In October 2016, charges were brought by the Koblenz Public Prosecutor's Office. In the investment fraud proceedings, the Stuttgart Regional Court sentenced Kelsch in August 2017 to a prison sentence of one year and ten months, which was suspended on probation. In the trial for aiding and abetting drug trafficking, he was sentenced on November 30, 2017 by the Landau district court to a three-year prison term. The suspended sentence for investment fraud was included in the calculation. Another lawsuit is pending against Kelsch because of the delay in bankruptcy.
