Walter Kiss

Walter Kiß [ kɪs ] (born October 25, 1961 in Erndtebrück , Wittgenstein district ) is a German politician ( SPD ). On August 30, 2009, he was elected mayor of the city of Kreuztal . He received 55.52 % of the vote.

Kiss grew up in Buschhütten , lives in Ferndorf and is a member of the SPD. In 1979 he began his professional career with an apprenticeship in the middle non-technical service as an assistant candidate at the city of Kreuztal. Since 2005 he was head of the Office for Order and Safety and the Road Traffic Authority in the administration of this municipality before he took up the new office on October 21, 2009. Walter Kiss was confirmed in office in the 2014 mayoral election with 69.22% of the votes.
