Walter Kiel

Walter Kiel (born August 16, 1907 in Lipprechterode ; † August 21, 1986 in Burgas , Bulgaria ) was a German agricultural scientist.

Walter Kiel comes from a family of generations of farmers and gardeners. He was married and has two children who both became medical professionals.

Life

After his scientific studies and doctorate / habilitation, first publications from 1934. During World War II , Walter Kiel became an intelligence officer in the Luftwaffe (flak) and returned in 1947 from a Soviet captivity. The main place of his work after the war was the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the GDR and the Biological Central Institute in Kleinmachnow.
