geography

The community lies on the northern slope of the Bleicheröder mountains. The Bode flows right through the village.

history

The place was first mentioned on April 16, 1120.

On the small mountain spur in the northeast of the village there used to be a fortification, divided into a fore and a main castle. It probably had a protective function for the Army Road running in the Bodetal. Remnants no longer bear witness to this fortress, but the churchyard is the successor to this place.

In 1317 the Bursfelde Monastery got a farm here from the Counts of Beichlingen , which was later assigned to the Hanover Monastery Fund .

The clubs include the SV Blau Weiss 90 Lipprechterode and the Lipprechtöder Carneval Club. There is also the Lipprechteode volunteer fire brigade.

St. John

Buildings

The Protestant Church of St. John is a simple hall church made of rubble stones with a drawn-in, just closed choir without a tower. A Romanesque chapel was mentioned as early as 1119 . Extensions to the present shape were made in 1617 and 1718. As part of a renovation in 1980, the interior was completely redesigned.
