Walter Knaller (born October 24, 1957 in Waiern , Feldkirchen ) is a former Austrian football player in the position of a striker and currently looks after the offspring at Rapid Vienna .

Career as a player

From 1980 to 1990 Knaller was active in the Austrian Bundesliga for Admira Wacker Mödling , from which he moved to FC Linz . From 1978 to 1981 he played for VfB Mödling .

Change to the coaching office

Knaller began his coaching career at FC Admira Wacker . In July 1993 he moved to FC Linz . But after only a year he moved back to FC Admira Wacker. In November 1997 he moved to SK Austria Klagenfurt . With the Klagenfurt team, he was promoted to what was then the 2nd division of the Bundesliga. In January 2002 he worked again as a coach at FC Admira Wacker Mödling. In April 2008 he became the sports director at AKA Trenkwalder Admira .

Walter Knaller was the head coach of FC Admira Wacker Mödling from September 19, 2013 to April 6, 2015. After separating from Admira by mutual agreement, he went to Rapid Vienna as a junior coach.

Walter Knaller's brothers, Wolfgang Knaller , Erich Knaller, Werner Knaller, Hermann Knaller and Bernhard Knaller as well as his nephew Marco Knaller are also football players and coaches.
