Walter Müller (born September 3, 1943 in Schwäbisch Hall ) is a German doctor and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Schwäbisch Hall, Müller studied medicine at Heidelberg University until 1970 . He then completed his training as a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics. In 1966, Müller and other Heidelberg students founded Club Alpha 60 in Schwäbisch Hall , a socio-cultural center that still exists today. In 1976 he established himself as a gynecologist in Schwäbisch Hall. There he was also involved in the workers' welfare and became its chairman. Müller is married and has three children.

Müller joined the SPD in 1969. From 1980 to 1996 he was a member of the Schwäbisch Hall municipal council . He received the most votes in the 1984 and 1988 elections. From 1992 to 2001 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . He represented the second mandate of constituency 22 Schwäbisch Hall and was spokesman for health and addiction policy for the SPD parliamentary group.
