Walter Nagel (born June 1, 1901 in Wellinghofen , † June 29, 1943 died near Malzewo, southwest of Moscow) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

Walter Nagel was born the son of a teacher. After attending the elementary school in Berghofen, the secondary school in Hörde until (1917) and the grammar school in Dortmund (until 1919), Nagel studied mining at the mining academies in Clausthal (until 1925) and Freiberg in Saxony, where he passed the mining engineering examination in 1926 ( Graduate engineer). In between he was a member of the border guards on the German eastern border and the Reichswehr from March 15, 1919 to May 17, 1920 . During his studies he became a member of the Arminia Dresden fraternity in 1921 .

From March 1, 1927 to December 31, 1927, Nagel worked as a pit climber in the Arenberg Colliery , after which he worked as a coking assistant in Prosper II until June 30, 1930 , and then until his dismissal without notice on December 13, 1932 as a pit climber on the Prosper III shaft. From 1928 to 1930 he lived in Essen.

On September 1, 1930, Nagel joined the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP) (No. 316086). In February 1931 he became local operations manager in Bottrop, then until July 1931 he was head of the district operations cell in Gau Westfalen-Nord. In May 1933, he was finally appointed district manager of the German Labor Front in the Westphalia district.

From March 1933 to August 1934, Nagel was a member of the NSDAP in the German Reichstag, in which he represented constituency 17 (Westphalia North). In the summer of 1934 he was expelled from the NSDAP, his mandate was declared invalid and Nagel was expelled from the Reichstag. According to a report by the underground SPD, the reasons for this were corruption.
