Walter Neul

Walter Neul (born October 12, 1899 in Großenhain , † after 1945) was a German politician (NSDAP).

Live and act

After attending school, Neul completed an apprenticeship as a baker. He experienced the First World War in the infantry and was awarded the Wound Badge and the Iron Cross, 2nd class. In 1919 he fought in the Baltic States and Upper Silesia with the Voluntary Infantry Regiment 20 Freikorps Dohna-Schlodien. He then worked as a worker in Großenhain.

As early as 1922 he joined the NSDAP and the SA . In 1923 and 1924 he served again in the Reichswehr . After the NSDAP ban was lifted, he returned to work for the party in May 1925 and, after re-establishing the Grossenhain local group in 1927, took over its leadership. From November 1929 to November 1932 he represented the NSDAP as city councilor in the Großenhain city parliament. After the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists, he became a member of the Saxon state parliament in April 1933 , to which he belonged until its dissolution. He was also elected to the National Socialist Reichstag on November 12, 1933 in constituency 28 (Dresden-Bautzen) . He then belonged to this until the collapse of the National Socialist German Reich.

During the Second World War Neul served as a captain in the army. He was taken prisoner by the Soviets and settled in West Germany after the war.
