Walter Popp
Walter Popp ( pseudonym Thomas Richter ; * 1948 in Nuremberg ) is a German author and former lawyer.
Life
Popp first studied law in Erlangen and worked as a lawyer in Mannheim until 1983 . He then went to France: in Paris he worked as a barman, in 1984 he moved to Provence and became a literary and later a technical translator. The first notes for his book Marcel Dauphin, Diary of a Boule Player 2007 were also made during this time.
In 1985, Popp and his friend Bernhard Schlink wrote the book Selbs Justiz , which was translated into numerous languages and filmed , the first part of the so-called Selb trilogy .
