Walter Witzany
Walter Witzany (born February 12, 1943 ) is a former presenter at Radio Upper Austria .
Life
The son of the State Medical Director of Upper Austria was supposed to be a doctor, but then became a druggist and worked for veterinarians in the veterinary and pharmaceutical field for a long time. During this time he attended drama school and took on amateur roles in the Landestheater and the basement theater in Linz. In 2001 he worked for the Euro-Information of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce under Christoph Leitl . By chance he once read the news on Radio Oberösterreich , where he was subsequently asked by Reinhard Mildner to host a program in the Radio Weiß-Rot series .
As a result, he was given the moderation of several programs. In the broadcast Radio Oberösterreich Café he was concerned with the worries of his listeners and he looked for solutions with other listeners. In his most famous show Witzany am Abend , he presented folk music as well as talents from Upper Austria as guests every Friday from 8pm for over twenty years. He retired in 2014.
He is married to Cecilia Baldivieso de Witzany , an honorary consul of Bolivia, with whom he has a daughter.
