Walter Zipser

Walter Zipser is an Austrian radio and television presenter from St. Florian / Linz . Zipser has been working as a journalist since 1978. In Germany he is mainly known for his work as a commentator on Formula 1 broadcasts. His debut at a Formula 1 Grand Prix took place in 1978 at the Monaco Grand Prix .

Walter Zipser has been commenting on Sport1 (formerly DSF), but also for Sky Deutschland (formerly Premiere), ORF and Servus TV in the sports car world championship, motorcycle world championship and Formula 1 sector since 1997. He speaks English , French and Italian , although he always cultivates a relaxed and friendly language style. From 2010, Walter Zipser commented on the highlight programs of the NASCAR Sprint Cup on Servus TV . In October 2012 he commented on the live broadcast of Red Bull-Stratos / Felix Baumgartner on Servus TV, and from 2013 on the programs on the WRC / World Rally Championship on Servus TV.

He has already made appearances as an event moderator all over Europe. a. at the 100-year Mercedes-Benz gala in Monaco , at the Shell Eco Marathon in Rotterdam, at many classic car events (AvD-Oldtimer-GP Nürburgring, Ennstal-Classic, Kitzbüheler Alpenrallye, Arlberg Classic, ADAC-Trentino-Classic , Saalbach Classic), at the Porsche Sound Night in Zuffenhausen, at the Porsche VIP event as part of the OGP Nürburgring and at the "Mercedes-Benz & Friends" event in Berlin-Tempelhof. Every year since the 2014 season, Walter Zipser has hosted the Le Mans Night in front of more than 20,000 fans in the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen and has been the track spokesman for the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Austria and the MotoGP in Spielberg / Red Bull Ring.
