Walther Eidlitz

Walther Eidlitz (born August 28, 1892 in Vienna , † August 28, 1976 in Vaxholm in Sweden) was an Austrian writer in the field of poetry, short stories and drama. He later devoted himself to studying the intellectual history of India.

In view of his interest in Indian religion and philosophy , he left his family in Vienna and traveled to India , where he lived in search of God from 1938 to 1946 and from 1950 to 1951 . As an Austrian he was interned in India during the Second World War . In 1946 Eidlitz moved to Sweden, where he also died.
